The migration treated in this study is the process of moving data from the internal server to the cloud, making it possible to demonstrate the demand for information security present in this process, considering the risks involved in relation to data integrity.
The study demonstrated that cloud computing has indeed been beneficial for companies, however, the information security process needs attention, especially in this migration step, believing that errors and failures in this step can compromise all the results of the organization.
From the literature review carried out, it was possible to outline good practices for information security in the data migration process from the internal server to the cloud: planning; execution; evaluation; and cross-cutting issues already suggested in the research by Janshidi et al. (2013). However, this research focused on the evaluation stage, suggesting the development of indicators to monitor the migration process, so that it is possible to make more accurate analyzes with facts and data, depending on the business of each organization.
Regardless of the area they work in, IT support specialist job description will require strong analytical skills, along with familiarity with different operating systems, such as Windows, macOS or Linux, and proficiency in one or more programming languages.
At the end of this research, it is clear that the study was limited by the scarcity of studies in the area, mainly in Brazil, with most of the publications made in English. In this sense, it is suggested that further research be carried out, recommending the elaboration of a case study with good practices in order to verify its viability.
