Certification is a set of tests that demonstrate that the cabling system, and the structure that supports it, are in optimal conditions to meet the needs of the organization.
If so, you will ensure the durability of the investment you are making and you will have a guarantee of up to 25 years on the materials used. Otherwise, the diagnosis will show possible faults and corrective action can be taken.
When the structured cabling system is installed, one of the tools used to verify the operation is the certifier. This device generates a report with the conditions in which each channel is found, and the category of the existing cabling (Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Cat 7).
These certification tools detect if a link is compatible with a certain category (AIT) or type (ISO). An example might be Category 6 or Class E. Certification is the closure formally required by many structured cabling manufacturers to provide their warranties for a new cabling installation.
